In September, we found 50 new froyo-serving businesses in 22 countries, a significant decrease from the 67 new businesses serving froyo in 27 countries in August. The Philippines reclaimed the top spot, with eleven openings. Australia had the second most openings, with seven, and the United States was third with six openings.

Today, we take a closer look at the countries that have left their mark on the frozen yogurt industry and grade them for their influence.
We found 39 businesses that serve frozen yogurt in Lebanon and are not seasonal pop-ups. Of the 39, Stories Coffee, accounts for 51% (20 out of the 39), 23% are froyo shops, and the remainder are cafes and restaurants. Stories Coffee offers frozen yogurt at all of its locations.

In August, we found 67 new businesses serving froyo in 27 countries, compared to 59 new businesses in 28 countries that serve froyo in July. The United States had the most openings for the third consecutive month, with twelve, followed by Indonesia with nine, and a tie between the Philippines and Australia, with six apiece.
Fruit flavors continued to be the most popular type of flavor to introduce during the summer. Of the 31 new flavors, 67% were fruit flavors. Many of these were tropical flavors and fruity combinations featuring more than one kind of fruit. The next most popular flavor category was surprising; mystery flavors accounted for 13% of the new summer flavors. Another 13% had ambiguous flavor names like Bora Bora tart and Blue Hawaii Tropical Candy.
